spring herbs and flowers

Delightful white Japonica blooming away. Just behind the blossoms is an old bright pink Camelia bush, behind that is a tall fence post covered with hot pink bouganvillea which is being strangled by flowering jasmine. Heaven!

I'm leaving this beautiful garden and heading off to Sydney to be a part of the team of florists working on the David Jones flower show. Soo excited! It opens on September 1 -11 and will be fabulous. I'll have loads of lovely floral delights to post, stay tuned and enjoy the onset of spring!

Splendour in the Grass 2011

Backstage in the Artists Communal Area, photo by Marc Grimwade

The Day Spa flowers
Apples, kale, tulips, lilies and tropical foliages, some from Britte's tropical garden!

The Beautiful Britte from Beautiflora. Britte and I have worked together over the years in Byron Bay and she truly is an inspiration to me in life and in flowers.

Crafting a lolly tree

Moss and ivy covered candy tree!
Large arrangement in Artists Communal area. (Please don't eat the lollies)
The most fabulous Travelers Palm. You have to see it to believe it. This beauty weighs a tonne and is gigantic! Just one of the many marvels of the tropics.

I just hope that Kanye West enjoyed the flowers in his room. Oh, and Cold Play, and Janes Addiction, and Modest Mouse and Regina Spektor and James Blake and Gotye and and and..... *sigh* oh well, we had fun again this year.
